4 Months

Sophie is 4 months old!!! 

She is very active and happy.  She has rolled over twice (tummy to back) and has no interest in doing it again.  She loves to stand (with me holding on, of course) and jump and bounce and wiggle and dance.  She likes laying on her back and her tummy.  She loves her toys but gets frustrated with them sometimes.  

Sophie wakes up around 6:00am and just wants to be with mom and dad.  So I get her out of her pack n play (yes, she's still in our room) and she goes right back to sleep in bed with us.  I take her out of her swaddle when she gets in bed with us and she just whacks our faces over and over and over--all while she's asleep. 

The morning is her favorite time of day.  Maybe it's because that's the only time she sees Travis.  If we're awake when he leaves, the two of them just play and play.  Sophie LoVeS Travis!  She loves his silly faces and silly sounds he makes.  And she smiles so big you think her face is going to break.  After she plays with Dad, then she plays in her jungle gym.  She loves all of her toys and only wishes she could reach them all at the same time.  She plays in her gym while I eat breakfast, read, make the bed, etc.  She is most content on her own during this time, so this is when I get the most done.

After that, we play together until nap time (around 9:00am).  Then she sleeps on the floor in the living room while I run on the treadmill in her room.  We don't have a monitor, so I check on her every mile or so.  If she wakes up, I put her in the crib near the treadmill and she hangs out watching her mobile while I finish the run.

The rest of the day is pretty much, play for two hours, nap, play for two hours, nap (with lots of eating in there at random times).  Until 8:00pm, then she's out like a light.  Her naps are mostly 30 minutes, but occasionally she'll go for 1 or 2 hours. 

She was sleeping 8-9 hours at a time at night, but I think she's going through a growth spurt, because she's up every 3 hours or so.  Oh well.  I really enjoyed it while I had it. :)
