As we were getting out of the van at H-E-B on Saturday, I heard over the PA system that they were about to start a pumpkin pie eating contest and the winner would get a $25 gift card. It didn't matter that we just came from a Mexican restaurant, Travis couldn't say no. So he entered. The first person to eat an entire pumpkin pie got the gift card. Here are some fun pictures.
I still don't know why they all put their faces in the pie.

He did not win (the guy on the far left in the plaid shirt won), but he ate a whole lot of that pie.
And then didn't eat anything else for a couple days. :)

Funny. Travis, John and AJ had a jalapeño eating contest several years ago. Travis won.
