Random new hobby: Cross-stitching.
Okay, it's not the greatest, but it's a start. This first one was a really simple pattern that I wanted to start off with just to see if I had the patience and interest. It was easy enough, so I moved on to the next project.

This was a pattern I got from a basket at church. They were all grandma-related, so I didn't have much choice. This one was a little more complicated than the "be ever thankful" one, so I thought it would be a good one to try. This one definitely took longer, but I had plenty of time to finish it up in the hospital. I'm not really sure what to do with it now (no, Mom, I'm not pregnant), but it's kind of cute, huh?

I'm working on one now that's a lot more complicated called "Country Schoolhouse". Lots of colors, lots of stitches. I'll probably frame it if I ever finish... :)
Okay, this post was all about showing off my awesome new hobby. Don't worry, I'm still running. 13 miles tomorrow!!

You could always save the Grandma one for when you do ever get pregnant. Then you can mail it to Mom and that can be your announcement. :)
Cute cute cute! I think Melanie's idea is great.
You did a fantastic job! Frame at least the first one.
hahaha!!! Love the "no Mom--I'm not pregnant!"
I really like the first one. Sometimes simple is best!
Does this post mean you're attempting to transition your blog from just running to all about the Hovermans? I'd love to feel more in touch with y'all all the way out there. Plus, I'm sure it'd be pretty entertaining. :)
Jen, I might go ahead and make this an everything blog. I'm not running enough races right now to have an interesting running blog. My training is too boring to blog about. :) Not that the rest of my life is particularly interesting. Okay, we'll see...
I love the new hobby. Every once in a while I pick it up again. I have been thinking about starting again. I have a Christmas advent calendar that I have been working on for three years now.
are there any with guys running with their dog?
