Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest

As we were getting out of the van at H-E-B on Saturday, I heard over the PA system that they were about to start a pumpkin pie eating contest and the winner would get a $25 gift card.  It didn't matter that we just came from a Mexican restaurant, Travis couldn't say no.  So he entered.  The first person to eat an entire pumpkin pie got the gift card.  Here are some fun pictures.

He did not win (the guy on the far left in the plaid shirt won), but he ate a whole lot of that pie.  

And then didn't eat anything else for a couple days. :)

Puzzles!

Julia is pretty much awesome at puzzles.  

She loves them. Can't get enough of them.

And there's not one she won't sit down and try to figure out.

Travis says she's going to be an engineer.

She got her love of puzzles from watching her big sister, Sophie.

"Hanging" out at Grandma's

We LOVE hanging out at Grandma's house.  The kids' favorite place is the gravel pit.  There are several swings and lots of fun stuff to play with.  And lots of shade.

Julia was sick last night, so Sophie was taking care of Bryce while Travis helped get Julia situated.  And Sophie was excited to sleep with Bryce and me while Travis slept with Julia.  She is the best sister.  And she talks a lot when it's late at night and she's tired.

Picture Overload

 Julia grabbed the baking powder container from the counter and decided to empty it on the couch.

 Travis' family came to visit and we went to the Children's Museum in Austin.  Sophie talked Papa's head off on the trip hour long trip in the van.  And Julia got a good nap.

 They did lots of fun things at the museum and I'm sad I only got a picture of the water station.  

 After the water station, they dried off under the blow dryers.

 Zoe got to drive the kids home.  I think next time we'll give a little more detailed training.  Haha!  I chased her most of the way home. :)
